Add a Bank Account (ACH)

Bank accounts do not use the gateway-hosted form. Send the account details to Rev.io and it tokenizes them with your processor and returns a paymentAccountId you can charge or enroll in autopay.

caution

Collect bank details on an HTTPS page, send them straight to this endpoint, and never log or persist the account number yourself.

Create the bank account

curl -X POST https://api.psarev.io/billing/api/v1/payment-accounts/bank-accounts \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $TOKEN" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"customerId": 123,
"accountName": "Acme Corp Operating",
"accountType": "Checking",
"routingNumber": "021000021",
"accountNumber": "123456789",
"bankName": "First Bank"
}'

Reference: Create Bank Account

Verify it was stored

curl "https://api.psarev.io/billing/api/v1/payment-accounts/123" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $TOKEN"

The new account appears with "method": "ACH" and only the last four digits:

{
"data": [
{
"id": 4571,
"processor": "Trx",
"method": "ACH",
"isAutopay": false,
"bankAccount": {
"accountName": "Acme Corp Operating",
"last4": "6789",
"accountType": "Checking",
"routingNumber": "021000021",
"bankName": "First Bank"
}
}
]
}

Update or remove

  • Change the account name, bank name, or check number with Update Bank Account. The account and routing numbers cannot be changed. Add a new account instead.
  • Remove with Delete Bank Account.

Next step

Make a Payment with the paymentAccountId and the payment method where isAch is true.
